WhatsApp is making it easier to find specific conversations with the launch of new Chat Filters.
With the growing number of chats and messages on the platform, finding the right chat can become time-consuming. These filters aim to simplify the process and improve overall usability.
Starting today, users will see three new filters at the top of their chat list: All, Unread, and Groups. These filters can be selected with a single tap to switch between views.
The first option, “All”, serves as the default view, showing your entire chat history.
The “Unread” filter prioritizes conversations that require your attention. It specifically displays messages marked as unread or unopened, helping you focus on catching up and responding to those that might have slipped through the cracks.
Finally, the “Groups” filter addresses a highly requested feature. It brings all your group chats, including subgroups within Communities, together in a single organized list.
This makes it easier to locate specific groups, whether it’s your family chat or a group dedicated to planning your next vacation.
WhatsApp believes these Chat Filters will help users to stay organized, prioritize important conversations, and navigate their chats more efficiently.
The company plans to introduce more options in the future to further enhance the user experience. The rollout of Chat Filters has begun and will be available to all users in the coming weeks.
